From West Cork TO Baja . On the Mist

Ive, just returned from a short misty walk with my wife and grand- daughter. The Irish mist dropping off us as we enter the house. Flash back of Manhattan two weeks ago . The old black man his shopping trolley weaving through the jumble of white and brown, yellow and red people.. In West Cork to day we are all Grey , like the whales on their way from Canada to Mexico .  I hope they pass through Montera Bay and the waiting Orcas safely. El Diablos they were know as in the terrible days of the whaling. Now docile and forgiving of humanity they humble us in Baja.  leviathan of the deep haunt me . In the Grey mist of West Cork my kids carve their pumpkin and get ready for tomorrows Halloween .

Actually, the gray whales are pretty safe on the south to Mexico. So there should be plenty for those that want to go to Mexico with you to see them.

The return trip to Alaska next spring is when the orcas lay in waiting, as they are after the babies. Adult grays are generally too large for them.

Been a very good year in California for the krill eating whales, like blues, fins, and humpbacks, so hopefully there will be plenty of them to see in Baja.

Not as good a year for many of the fish eating animals, like sea lions and a variety of sea birds (cormorants, etc.).

Thanks for the news and of course making me feel better about the whales and the Orcas . Oh to be in California now.
