This 2 day break includes two half day kayaking trips and one moon light / starlight trip. We will explore the spectacular coastline of West Cork. We combine this with one overnight guesthouse stay and breakfast in the beautiful fishing villages of either Baltimore or Union Hall.
West Cork’s coastline is dotted with deserted islands, ancient castles, sea caves and an abundance of marine life including seals, dolphins and whales. This makes it a spectacular place to go sea kayaking and experience nature in an unforgettable way.
Day 1
10.00am – 1.00pm
We take time to get to know our visitors and experts or beginners we get to know exactly what level to aim our trips at. Then you can relax and safely enjoy the coast from sea level as we peacefully glide along. We explore bays and inlets and venture out into the open sea. Duration: 3 hours.
After a break. We again to the kayaks . This time we venture on one of our now famous night kayaking tours Starlight/Moonlight Adventure. We begin one hour before darkness This is a very popular and unusual trip. Beginning at dusk, we paddle into the darkness, whether there is a full moon or a star filled sky overhead. Each trip has its own special magic. This combined with the phosphorescence lighting up the ocean, makes it a truly remarkable experience. Duration: 2 ˝ hours.
Day 2
After a night in one of the area's welcoming guest houses and a hearty Irish breakfast we meet up for our next adventure
10.00am - 1.00pm
On this trip we venture further and check out a seal colony just off the coast. We majestically pass by castles and
hidden village. Our trip finishes under the ruins of Raheen Castle once the proud home of the O' Donovan's. The parapet bears the scars left by well aimed cannons hundreds of years ago.
Trip ends about 1pm lots of time to make it home or to your next holiday destination.
Price per person inc all equipment: €240 sharing.
