6 Day Sea Kayaking Odyssey |
6 Day Irish Sea Kayaking/ Coastal hiking (available for groups of 4 or more Oct. to March )
Sea Kayaking is often described as the Marine version of hill walking. Experience Ireland from a Kayak, with our expert guides and instructors helping you with your technique as well as pointing out the places of historical interest and of course sharing the seas with the incredible wild life of the area. . We will be taking in different parts of Castletownshend harbour, Glandore, Carbery’s hundred isles, Baltimore, Sherkin Island, and Loch Hyne. Our time will be spent gently exploring the pristine waters, sea caves and archways, and sharing the environment with the varied marine life. We will also be doing a coastal walk along the cliffs to see the dramatic views and flora and fauna and the beautiful coastline. In the villages you will enjoy great food and accommodation, and maybe even sharing a pint and the craic (gaelic for fun) with friends in a smoke free pub (!) Of course we always have a chance to happen upon some traditional music sessions.
Day 1 We will meet you at your accommodation and make sure you are happy with all the arrangements . Then we will meet up for dinner.
Day 2 Kayaking ……After a great Irish breakfast. We take time to get to know our visitors be they experts or beginners, we want to know exactly what level to aim our trips at. We also fit you out with suitable equipment
During your first trip you can relax and safely enjoy the coast from sea level as we peacefully glide along. Our expert instructor offer advice on your technique as we travel. We explore bays and inlets and venture out into the open sea.
