Atlantic Sea Kayaking is reopening soon

Covid-19 information and cancellation policy: A message from Maria & Jim

In accordance with Government guidelines, we begin a phased reopening of our business on 14th May.

In the interest of  public safety, and in line with Government Policy, we are unable to allow people to kayak with us who have traveled into Ireland and are within the two weeks restricted movement phase asked of them. We sincerely hope this is understandable.

  • You can make a confirmed booking online.
  • Through the office by email or phone. Your trip can be confirmed by credit card closer to the date.

Please consider re-booking your trip at a later date this year instead of cancelling it, and thus allow us to carry your deposit forward to that future trip. Your doing so would in turn allow us to support our guides and local businesses. You can do this simply by contacting the office by email or phone. If you want to name a new date, you can check dates on our calendar. Our 2021 calendar is available online and has availability right up to the end of December.

With regard to cancellations, below are three options open to you:

  1. We can reschedule your trip at any time that suits you in the future, even next year. (Just quote the original reference.) You can reschedule without naming any future date now or make a provisional booking which can be confirmed at a later date.
  2. We can immediately issue you an email voucher with no expiry date, which can be used by you or somebody else. (they make great presents)
  3. We can process a refund on your booking.

  • If you or anyone you have been in contact with are sick, please contact us to reschedule.
  • On arrival, our guests are met by staff (wearing masks and gloves) who will guide them through all Covid-19 procedures.
  • We have a sanitizing station for hand-washing at the beginning and end of our trip .
  • All of our gear and equipment is washed and disinfected before each trip.
  • We will maintain a paddle distance (2 metres) between each other at all times.
  • You will only be in a double kayak with someone you have travelled with.
  • During the trip we will maintain paddle distance between boats.
  • Our trips take place in open outdoor spaces with room to maintain social distancing.

Reconnecting with nature and with each other is all the more important and pleasurable as we emerge this time.

With best wishes,

Maria and Jim Kennedy and the A.S.K. Team

"One of the most magical experiences you can have anywhere in the world"

The Irish Times

Jim and Emily were great guides - both fun and patient - and they ensured we were stayed warm, safe, kept well informed, and were able to enjoy the experience to the maximum.

Kayaking the Irish Sea by moonlight on the summer solstice and watching the water light up beneath my fingertips was absolutely magical.

Taylor E, East Hartford, Connecticut

Great instructor (who gave us pointers for kayak purchase) great experience. 100%recommended for all levels of water confidence.

Stephen Duffy, Navan, Ireland

We spent 3 hours in the water and had a great time. Would definitely do this again.

Liam Springwell, Cork

Great fun day out for friends & families. Very safe for children and spectacular views on your trip. We really enjoyed it.

Conal Granite, Cork

What a lovely way to spend the morning. I joined a group for a kayaking trip on Lochyne, waterproofs were provided and basic tuition was given where needed.

Jill T, Cardiff, United Kingdom

An excellent instructor but also just a great guy to have chats and banter with. We all left with a massive grĂ¡ for Cork, for kayaking and for roll neck aran jumpers!

Katie G, Wexford, Ireland

We would highly recommend it to anyone. Jim was very helpful and friendly. We had never been kayaking before and he was a great instructor.
