West Cork
West Cork has something for everyone! From stunning coastlines to vibrant pubs, there is no shortage of things to do down here in the Southwest corner of Ireland. It is still a hidden gem on the Wild Atlantic Way and well worth a visit on your journey along the West coast of Ireland.
We have put together a quick collection of some of our favourite locations, things to do and places to stay and eat while you are in West Cork to give you some inspiration for your trip down here.
West Cork is known as the heart of artisan food production in Ireland. There are many great restaurants to sample the wide variety that West Cork has to offer. Run by innovative and passionate chefs who take pride in using local produce to create a wide variety of dishes.
One of the best ways to experience the food culture of West Cork is by visiting one of the farmers markets that take place in various towns. Our favourite is the Skibbereen Farmers market.
This happens every Saturday, all year round and features a variety of stalls where you can sample cheeses and meats from Gubbeen, delicious coffee hand roasted in West Cork and sweet treats freshly baked. There is also a fine collection of local art, woodwork and other crafts.
